--purge flag help to remove packages and config files also. Also note that most shared libraries are "optional", and you don't want to remove those either, so package priority alone is not really a good criteria for removal.

Remove unused packages from Raspberry Pi OS. Raspbian comes with a lot of stuff pre-installed. There is a lot that I do not use.For a long time, using SD cards was the rule on Raspberry Pi, you didn't have the choice.

The base Raspbian install is less than 2 GB, but if you remove all the GUI The answer is: you demote unwanted manual packages to auto.It will graphically show you exactly how many free space you have left and which folder is taking a lot of space:.

In graphics mode, the search is not very convenient, but removing a package is simple. Once you find the package to delete, uncheck the box, click the Apply.Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.

Note: Apart from uninstalling the mentioned packages, you have to take precautions and enlist all the currently installed packages to decide which programs you can proceed to uninstall to save more space in your Raspberry Pi.
